Original Photograph of Emanuel Swedenborg’s Cranium, (9 1/2 inches x 7 inches, dated on back- 1979) - a mysterious object which was stolen from his coffin in London in the 19th century by a Swedish sailor. Allegedly, after the thief’s death it was sent back to London for a phrenology exhibition, it was then accidentally replaced with another skull, sold in an antique shop, and eventually fell into the hands of a curio collector. It only became known that that the real skull was missing after it reappeared in the mid 20th century
